News and Update



:star::star: Due to personal problems and lack of Internet access. This week's contest will be extended to one and a half week. Hopfully issues will be resolved by then.

:star: It has been brought to my attention that people have been using old photos and then uploading them to DeviantART for the contest. This is a no-no and I apologize for not catching this earlier. Entries must be made for the contest

:star: A few people have been asking me how I choose the winners.

Answer: I do not look at the photographer's account name so if I choose them twice in a row, it's a coincidence. I look for impact and originality.

This is our newest weekly event, for all our photographers out there.

Every week we will give one photographer 20 :points: and 6 photos featured in this blog. He/she will also choose the next theme. :) Please check the bottom of the journal entry for a list of themes you can choose from.

How to Enter

:bulletred: You are allowed to submit 2 entries for each week. The entry(s) must be new and made when the contest starts.
:bulletred: The photo must be related to the theme given.
:bulletred: Please write on artist comments that it’s an entry for FreePM’s Photo of the Week.
:bulletred: All submissions must be submitted to this folder.

* Photos can be manipulated by art programs only if they are minor things. Such as grayscaling or brightening up a dark image. Give yourself wings is a no-no.

Animals - Nature - People - Buildings - Colorful - Black and White - Hope - Different Colors (ex: Red, Blue, Green, etc)

How to Suggest a Theme
1. Comment below in this journal entry with your theme suggestion. I am not picky of themes and my opinons are not biased. However, all themes chosen have a couple things in common:
* They are easy themes that anyone can take pictures of. Meaning the theme sun or moon doesn't work because someone in Alaska couldn't do it and post it up to enter the contest.
* They follow deviantART and #FreePM's rules.

* Be sure to choose a theme from this list.
